My Love!!

I am so in love with my amazing daughter. I love everything little thing she does. One
of my favorite things is just watching her sleep and listening to the clicking sound she makes as she sucks on her passy! She is perfect. A true gift from God!!

Bree and Jay's Wedding Weekend

(Picture from 2006- shortly after Bree and Jay started dating)

May 15, 2010 is when these 2 fabulous people will get married. I am so excited and grateful that I am going to be a part of their big day! My parents and I are headed to Destin this morning for the events to begin. Picture when we get home. I wish Jason was going to be with us, but he has school things going on. I am so thankful my parents are coming to help with Makenzie. Bree and Jay, I wish you all the happiness in the world. I love to see how happy and fabulous ya'll are together. Enjoy every moment, but know the day you get married is the day you will love each other the least. May your love for one another will grow through each challenge and life event you share. Best Wishes from the Clark Family!

Makenzie and Pinkie!

Jason got Makenzie this adorable stuffed animal prior to her arrival. Recently, she has started focusing on things including Pinkie. Here she is holding Pinkie:)

Precious Moments!

Things have been crazy lately. Jason started school on May 4th in Chattanooga. No one is prouder of him than ME! I know he is doing this for his family, but we are all having to do some adjusting. Traveling has never been something that we have had to do. My parents have always been close by and as nurses, Jason and I have always gone to work and come home. Now we are traveling back and forth from Madison, Ms to Chattanooga, Tn just to see each other for a few days at a time. I am also having trouble not being 3 minutes from my parents. Whenever I am lonely I can just drop in on them. They have always been happy to see me coming:) Makenzie and I have been in Chattanooga for the past week and have enjoyed spending as much time as possible with Jason. Sammiedog has been staying with his GiGi and Papa and today I get to go home and get him. Can't wait! I am gonna miss Jason so much over the next few days but I am super excited about snuggling with both my babies in our KING size bed (the queen bed in Chattanooga just isn't the same).

My Sweet Babies!!

My 1st Mother's Day

Yesterday was my 1st Mother's Day! It was wonderful. Makenzie and I were blessed to be able to be in Chattanooga with Jason! I recieved a beautiful pair of handmade sterling silver earrings and a wonderful heart of pearl bracelet.

Makenzie loves to look at me and Jason when we talk to her these days.

The bracelet has a pearl for Jason, Me, and Makenzie. Hopefully, we will add to it in a few years:)

Dearest Makenzie,

I can remember the day I found out I was pregnant like it was yesterday. I have dreamed about being your mommy for most of my life. When I read that 8 letter word I knew my life was about to change forever. God had answered my prayers!!

For the next nine months, I had lots of emotions. I heard your heartbeat, found out that you were a baby girl, and worried constantly about you. Get used to that last part.
Worrying is what mommies do.

On Feb. 28th, Dr. Tucker told me that my blood pressure had increased and me and you were put on bedrest. This was scary because we were to endure testing to ensure that you were not under any stress in my belly. Of course, you passed all your tests with a perfect score. Mommy, on the other hand, had lots of trouble getting her blood pressure down. On March 1st, I was 28 weeks pregnant and Dr. Tucker told daddy and I that we were going to be induced the next morning. I was nervous and excited all in the same minute. March 2nd was a very long day, but you were doing great so that is all that matter. GiGi, Papa and Aunt Natalie all came to visit, but you were not ready to enter the world just yet.:) March 3rd Dr. Tucker broke mommy's water and the day began. After another long day of laboring, I was informed I would met you by having a C-Section. After only about 15 minutes, I heard you cry. I felt the tears, and my life changed forever. For a brief moment the baby I had carried inside of me was still connected to me, then snip! The cord was cut, and now it is my responsibility to protect you on the outside world, just as I did while you lived on the inside.

I WAS A MOM!!!!

At 5:01p.m. on March 3, 2010 Makenzie Ruth Clark was born weighing 7lbs 4 ozs and measuring 19 1/2 inches! You were so perfect. You loved sticking out your tongue and still do:) I now know you are trying to find your pacifer or you are hungry. I cannot express to you baby girl how much I LOVE YOU! You are my everything!

Love, Mommy

The World of Motherhood is a Wonderful World. It is tough and at times it can hurt, but it can also be filled with joy and lots of laughter. I have large shoes to fill to be a wonderful mother like my own mother and my big sister are.

To my Mother: I thank you for being best friend and always lending an ear. For giving me hugs and a shoulder to cry on. For being there for me always.

To my big Sister: I thank you for being a role model and always being my protector. For listening and giving me so much love. I am so proud to be your little sister.
